Aligned with the World Health Organization’s ‘Health for All’ vision, the campaign underscores the essential role that cleanliness and access to toilets play in building a healthier society.
The ‘Cleanliness and Water Initiative’ aspires to make sanitation accessible to everyone, irrespective of gender, ability, caste, or class. The live event will be aired on CNN News18, featuring Union Health Minister Shri Mansukh Mandaviya along with well-known personalities such as Sania Mirza, Shilpa Shetty, and Kajal Aggarwal, who will highlight the crucial connection between well-being and sanitation.
The campaign aims to increase public awareness about the importance of clean and accessible toilets while inspiring individuals and communities to collaborate to create a healthier, more hygienic society for everyone. Since its inception in 2019, the joint campaign by Network18 and Harpic has successfully raised awareness about pressing water and sanitation concerns. The focus is now on fostering behavioral change across India to ensure that everyone has access to clean and safe toilets.
