Merck, an international leader in science and technology, sets the stage for its Young Scientist Award 2023. Unique to this year’s edition is the introduction of a special category dedicated to Sustainability Research, signaling the growing importance of sustainable practices in the scientific community.
As the world leans towards sustainable development, so too does the scientific community. Merck’s Young Scientist Award acknowledges the role of scientific research in promoting green practices. This year’s awards will see a category focusing on green chemistry, renewable/alternate energy, sustainable materials, and manufacturing.
Designed to honor young scientists who are pushing boundaries in their fields, the award will recognize 10 researchers who are making substantial contributions to human progress. Researchers with less than 10 years of post-Ph.D. research experience and residing in India are eligible to apply.
Reflecting on past editions, the Young Scientist Award Program has garnered overwhelming support, with over 2000 registrations from nearly 1000 institutes across India. With the inclusion of the Sustainability Research category, the 2023 edition is likely to attract even more interest from the scientific community.
