
Accu-Chek Active blood glucose monitor now manufactured in India, improving access to diabetes care and reducing carbon footprint
Roche Diabetes Care India (RDC India) has announced the start of local manufacturing for its Accu-Chek Active blood glucose monitoring device, aiming to cater to the growing Indian market and improve diabetes care access. The company has collaborated with Sanmina-SCI India Pvt. Ltd. for manufacturing, and Parekh Integrated Services Pvt. Ltd. (PISPL) for assembly and distribution.
RDC India, a pioneer in integrated personalized diabetes management (iPDM) products and solutions, has made the first batch of Indian-manufactured Accu-Chek Active meters available in the market across the country. The new product packs will carry the ‘Made in India’ tag, reflecting the company’s commitment to the local market.
By manufacturing the Accu-Chek Active meters in India, RDC India expects to reduce time to market, make the meters more accessible to the country’s growing diabetic population, and contribute to global sustainability goals by reducing their carbon footprint.

Sanmina’s state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Chennai will produce the Accu-Chek Active meters, adhering to the brand’s globally approved quality standards.
