In a groundbreaking initiative, over 500 visually impaired children will take part in the IIFL JITO Ahimsa Run, supported by Torrent Group, in Mumbai on April 2nd, 2023. Representing various specialized schools and blind organizations, these young participants aged 12 and above will compete in different race categories, including 10 km, 5 km, and 3 km events.
Prithviraj Kothari, Chairman of JITO Mumbai Zone, lauds the inspiring young athletes for overcoming physical challenges and promoting peace, empathy, and non-violence. Their unyielding spirit and determination have driven them to actively endorse the event’s core message.

In anticipation of the event, the organizers will offer tailored training programs for the visually impaired participants. Prizes, including cash rewards, trophies, medals, and certificates, await the competitors, who will also benefit from dedicated areas at the venue for reporting and flag-offs, ensuring their safety and security.
