Devangi Dalal, an audiologist and speech-language pathologist, has been recognized for her exceptional work with young children who have hearing impairments. As a co-founder of the Josh Foundation, she has made consistent efforts to help underprivileged children by providing them with free hearing aids and spreading awareness about hearing impairment. Her foundation has distributed over a thousand hearing aids to children and has successfully provided 100 percent digital hearing aids to children in 12 schools.
Dalal’s achievements have gained international recognition. She became the first Indian to receive the American Academy of Audiology’s Humanitarian Award in 2012 and was appointed as the First Advocate for Hearing Health from India by Coalition for Global Hearing Health (CGHH), working with WHO to promote public awareness about hearing health. Her contributions have been instrumental in collecting funds of over Rs 4.5 Crore to support hearing-impaired children. With a strong commitment to improving the lives of underprivileged children with hearing impairments, Dalal continues her journey towards creating a society that treats them with inclusivity and kindness.
